Meeting Minutes

Motion to open meeting 7:35 PM Foster, second Cummins

Secretary – Meeting minutes from January 29, 2009.  Motion to accept Cummins, second Klein.

Treasurer – Balance $36,201.45.  New ’09 Budget has $20,675 in savings.  Plan to stick tight to this budget, basketball and baseball signups were down about 20%, expecting this with soccer too.  Finalized loan today, a $25,000 line of credit, with a 1% monthly payment.  Motion to accept T. Lefker, second Foster.

Vice President – Kids Day vouchers are in, we must receive money before vouchers are passed out.

Committee Reports

Softball – SOSLI mandatory coaches meeting cancelled, looking a location.

Baseball – B senior team folded, moving kids up and down so they can play.  We filled two t-ball teams.

Football – Nothing to report

Soccer – Nothing to report

Cheerleading – Done for the year

Concession – Nothing to report

Basketball – 5th grade boys tournaments at burg, need concession and door workers.

Old Business

Update on dugouts from Chad – excavation complete, gravel tomorrow, first inspection will be Wednesday next week and then we will pour.  Benches have been delivered and half of them have been put together.

New Business

Chad Graybill has been appointed Field Manager

Need Kids Day Coordinator – check with Marilyn Melcher

Three bids on cutting the grass:

            Travis Pope - $215 per cut +fuel surcharge can pay over 12 months

            American Choice - $200 per cut

            Bill Graybill - $125 per cut

Voted to have Bill Graybill cut the grass – VP Y, Secretary Y, Treasurer Y, Softball Y, Concession Y, Baseball Y, Basketball Y, Cheerleading Y, President Y

Dragging Fields – Voted to have Mike Gullet to drag fields - VP Y, Secretary Y, Treasurer Y, Softball Y, Concession Y, Baseball Y, Basketball Y, Cheerleading Y, President Y

Coaches will be responsible for lining their fields.

Jeff Weir and Beth McManus have come to discuss levy issues.

WJAA ask that Smoking be permitted in Parking Area ONLY!

NO PETS are permitted at the WJAA Complex.
