Meeting Minutes January 29, 2009

 Motion to open meeting 7:35 PM Bach second Cummins

Secretary – Minutes from November 25th meeting.  Motion to accept Foster second Cummins

Treasurer’s report given by Jeff Cummins.  Balances of $331.41 concession and $43,750.24 main account for a total of $44,081.66.  Complete budget at next meeting.  Motion to accept Klein second Rachel Lefker.

 Vice president – Set Kids Glove Dates April 27 and May 20 150 tickets for each date.

17 – 0 in favor.  Kids Glove equipment is in and an email will be going out to those that have something to pick up.  Sponsor sign has been hung in gym by Jim Jermer.

Committee Reports

Softball – March 26th SOSLI mandatory coaches meeting

Baseball – 86 signup so far still need t-ball players and recruiting going on to fill some of the other teams.  Season starts April 18th and league fees increased $5 to $65 per team.  Flyers going out next week to kindergarten and preschool for baseball and softball.

Football - Nothing to report

Soccer - Nothing to report

Cheerleading - Nothing to report

Basketball – Boys 5th grade tournaments February 28th and March 7th – need concession workers.  Jr Basketball going well great turnouts.

Old Business:

Need quotes to repair fields & to add fencing around black top area

 New Business:

Set Kids Day June 13th, still need Kids Day Coordinator

Vote next month on having a booth at June in Old Williamsburg June 5th -7th

Voted to change bylaw – “Under President’s duties to 1.e. Negotiate and sign off on all documents, bank agreements and or loans in the best interest of WJAA for future projects, land acquisitions, facility improvements and or upgrades which are approved beforehand unanimously by the executive officers.  If collateral is needed then the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer will sign the loan documents.”

Start accepting lawn care quotes as well as field dragging and vote in February.

Look into purchasing Port O Lets

Voted to change bylaw for basketball, proposed in October, to increase minimum team size to 12, any more than that and they are to be split into two teams.

17-0 in favor

Need to create a budget for electric for back concession and pitching machine.

Voted to appropriate $5460 and signed contact with Tritek Homes, LLC for benches: VP Y Tres Y Softball Y Baseball Y Cheerleading Y Basketball Y Concession Y Football Y

Secretary abstained from voting.

 Will vote on dugout structure later.

Voted to adopt volleyball as a WJAA covered sport. 16 – 1 in favor

Voted to have a WJAA Appreciation Event. 17-0 in favor

Motion to close Cummins Second Bach
