Meeting Minutes

Motion to open meeting 8:30 PM Rachel, second Klein

Secretary – Meeting minutes read from March 31st meeting.  Motion to accept Bach second Tommy Lefker.

Treasurer – The WJAA Appreciation Night cost approximately $1,088.  We made $620 at the door for a total cost of about $668.

Motion to accept Bogan, second Bach.

VP – Had 100 tickets left over from the April 27th kids glove game.  We will try to get two late games next year.

President – Rally on the corner for the levy May 4th at the old high school.

Kids day June13th, coaches to do basket for raffle. 

Parade June 5th line up at 5:00, bring tractor if you can.

Softball - Season started and going well.  Umpire school went well, would like all coaches to attend at least one umpire class in the future.  Vouchers must be completed and turned in so umpires can get paid.

Baseball – Nothing to report.

Football – Sign ups June 13th.  Need help if anyone is interested, might get some of the high school kids to help.  Planning on 2 half time games and one Saturday night game.  We will be changing the program up a little for the 5th and 6th graders, preparing them a little more.  Also looking into tournaments for the older kids.

Soccer  - Need to get flyers to school for sign-ups, 10-2 kids day

Cheerleading – Sign ups June 13th at kids day

Basketball – Nothing to report

Concession    - Work out the safe issues.  In the future think about opening concession all week.

Field Manager – All dirt is spread, field 6 needs work.  Dugouts complete.  Coaches and parents need to help with garbage.  Field 7 fence needs fixed, have material need help.  Field manager is the only person to cancel games due to weather.   Weekend practice is first come first serve, for others check the schedule.

WJAA Appreciation Night went well, 5 past presidents attended.

The fence around the blacktop finished, thanks to Chad, Scott, Troy, Jeff & Trevor

Flag pole between field 6 & 7 went up, waiting for the one in front

Waiting for more info on Duke Transformer

Need soft dirt, fields are hard, maybe a pump for tractor.

Kids day  - Tracy to assign games and concession

Motion to close meeting Troy, second Cummins.

WJAA ask that Smoking be permitted in Parking Area ONLY!

and

NO PETS are permitted at the WJAA Complex.
