Meeting Minutes

Motion to open meeting 7:30 PM Klein, second Foster 

Soccer presentation by Grant from Challenger Sports about WJAA hosting future soccer camps.

Secretary – Meeting minutes read from September 22nd meeting.  Motion to accept Scott Kuntz second Klein

Treasurer – Total account balance - $29,610.96 (12,347.08 from concessions & 17,263.88 from the business account). We netted approximately $11,640.82 from Haunted Woods.  Volleyball and Basketball money of approximately $4000 still out.  And along with the electric that is being run to the back phone lines are also going to be added.  Motion to accept Klein second T. Soccer – U9 Boys tournaments have been moved to Batavia because of field conditions.  U9 Girls and U12 Girls may also need to be moved.  2 teams still owe for trophies.  U6 and tournament trophies are in.  7 out of 9 teams at burg placed 1^st or 2^nd.

Banquet is planned for November 21^st and McDonald has donated orange pop, also donated by others is plates, forks & napkins.  With all of the games being moved Batavia may need some supplies if we have any extra.  Soccer fields need dirt - we will be doing them the same time we add the dirt to the baseball fields after the ground freezes.

Spring soccer – games would be on Sunday and if we leave one field to practice and the fees would depend on CCSA possibly $35, need to know by January.

Baseball – Netting for backstops – 9ft $5.30 a linear ft, 6ft $4.08 a linear ft. in royal blue.  It is mainly to keep the parents away from the umpires.  Vote to purchase the royal blue backstop nets – Soccer Y, Softball  Y, Concession Y, Secretary Y, President Y, Basketball Y, Treasurer Y, Baseball Y, Cheerleading Y – Final vote 7 Yes, 0 No.

Softball – Nothing to report 

Concession – Nothing to report

We need to be thinking about doing some work at the gym to maintain our use for no cost.

Cheerleading – Start next week we have 37 girls up from 18 last year.  Uniforms are in and we would like to order pom poms, they are $12 a set and we need 10 sets for a total of $120.  Vote to order 10 sets of pom poms – Soccer Y, Softball Y, Concession Y, Secretary Y, President Y, Basketball Y, Treasurer Y, Baseball Y, Cheerleading Y – Final vote 7 Yes, 0 No.

Football – Last game was Friday.

Basketball – Clinic this Sunday Nov 1^st 1-4, Craig Sanders will be for this clinic.

Practices start November 9^th and Jr Basketball starts November 7^th and continues for  6 weeks.

Games begin December 5^th

6^th grade currently has 2 teams because of three new players this may change due to the fact the current team will placed into a draw and the current coach is upset about the draw.

We will have the 6^th grade boys tournaments at burg.

How to handle concession – need help setting up and where to have it.

2 new 4^th grade coaches need balls, budgeting $50 for each coach.

7 total teams

League fees are $1400, pretty much a wash after we are reimbursed ref fees of $1300.
