WJAA Nov Meeting Minutes.

Open Meeting @ 7:31 p.m. Motion to accept by Paul, 2^nd by Troy

Secretary report:  Angie printed out it was read motion to accept as read by Travis, 2^nd by Jim

Treasurer’s report:  Ending balance as of $11892.28.  Insurance due in Feb/March of $921.00 (only big item due).

V. President Report: Sponsor Banner complete $432.00 by next week.  4x10. , 2^nd by Dave all in favor to purchase.

Old Business:  

Voting took place last month .  Still need Secretary, Fundraising, and President.  Dave Varney was nominated and voted in as new President.

Mary Vice brought in Decals to use as fundraisers.

Motion to have a checking account / checks for VP of Concession was voted on and passed 8 for 0 opposed.

ByLaw voted on: Duties to be changed as read in the October meeting was voted/accepted 11 for 0 opposed.

New Business

-ByLaw Proposal to be voted on in January:  All Motions/proposals presented will be voted on by & all final decision made by the Execture Board members. 

-ByLaw Proposal  to be voted on in January:  Any new discussion, motions, proposals must be presented to the President prior to the monthly meeting to put on the nights agenda to be discussed.  If not they may/will be held until the next meeting to then be placed on such meeting agenda.

(This is for the purpose to help control / timely meetings)

-ByLaw Proposal  to be voted on in January :  Nominations to be taken place in Oct. & Voting in Nov. in the case of Treasurer all books must be handed over in December so new Treasurer can begin Jan. 1^st.

-Motion was made to pay off tractor payment of $1740.00 (290 x 6 payments) – 3% interest off.  Tractor is in WJAA’s name.  WJAA will need the note of good faith from Paul.  Jim 2^nd motion.  For 10 against 0.

-Motion was made to do away with phone and use cell phones.  For 0 against 10.  Need to look into other options/pricing.

-Motion was made for coaches need to receive a copy of the bylaws and sign the last/bottom sheet and give back to the district rep.  The motion was to add the detach portion to the bylaws to be given to the district rep.  For 7 against 0.  START W/ Baseball/Softball.  Can get a copy of up-to-date bylaws from Tracy or ONLINE.

-Baseball/Softball Signups January 20^th…this will also be the deadline to pay.  Old H.S. basement 10-2.

-Kids Day – June 16^th d-Ins tournament…need to also have somebody coordinate the day, events and raffle items.

-Motion to pay at least $261.00 for the annual maintence of the tractors around January 31^st accepted by Jim, 2^nd by Travis.

Committee reports:

Softball:  U14 Division after that U15-18.  If you signup for a Tournament & Don’t show up they will charge the orginzation $100 fine.  Neet to give a 24 hour notice.  Midseason Tournament here U7/U8 June 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd .  End of Season tournament is at Mt. Orab.  Need to order New Softballs $42 a dozen

Soccer:  Fields still to wet to get the goals off the field.  Will do it when it dries up or maybe freezes.  It shouldn’t hurt the goals.

Baseball: 

Basketball:  Refs are $17 per ref . # games x 2.  Need to write a check for $98.  Tournament - 6^th boys will be here week after the last game 23 teams.  Reg 2 wknd Fri, Sat, & Sun for New High School try to get Feb. 23, 24, 25 or March 2, 3, 4.  Finals will be March 10 or 11 at Batavia. Concession duty list has been handed out.  Be there to help set up at 8 a.m.  Beach Photography will do Basketball Pictures.

Cheerleading:  Need B-Ball schedule.  Bob Sims Photography will do cheerleading.

Haunted Woods:  Need date for 2007 haunted woods and a coordinator.  Will look at in January.

Budget Committee:   Need to get proposals from District Reps.  Will get together with Tracy and put together to present in January/February meeting.

Field Committee:  Had a meeting last Sunday about different ideals/solutions and put together a list of TO DO/NEEDS.  Headed by Travis Fisher & Troy Bach.

Next meeting was scheduled for January 23rd at 7:30 p.m. at Church
